2984089 - Origin Field Does Not Exist

When checking the consistency of an Analytical Data Source, you get the error message: "Origin Field "1AN/ABC123" does not exist" (1AN/ABC123 represents the field name).

SAP Business ByDesign

1. Go to the Business Analytics work center.
2. Go to the Design Data Source view.
3. Find and open the Data Source ABC in Preview mode (ABC represents the Data Source name).
4. In the Data Source Edit screen, click "Check and Repair" button.
5. The error message shows up: "Origin Field "1AN/ABC123" does not exist".

The reason for this behavior is that the mentioned extension field has been removed from UI level.

The extension field referred in the error message should be removed from the data source to eliminate the inconsistent reference, which is pointing to a field that no longer exists in the UI. To remove this field, follow the below steps:

1. Go to the Business Analytics work center.
2. Go to the Design Data Source view.
3. Find and open the Data Source ABC in Preview mode.
4. Find the extension field with the same ID as shown in the error message.
5. Select the field.
6. Click Remove button.
7. Click Save, to save the changes in the Data Source.
