2984166 - SQLServerAgent could not be started - NetWeaver

Symptom

  • SQLServerAgent services can not be started

        Error in event log: SQLServerAgent could not be started (reason: Unable to connect to server '(local)'; SQLServerAgent cannot start).

  • Event log shows error: SQL Server Native Client 11.0: Unable to load sqlnclir11.rll due to either missing file or version mismatch. The application cannot continue.

  • Below error message can also be found in developer trace

        [Microsoft][ODBC Driver Manager] driver's SQLAllocHandle on SQL_HANDLE_ENV failed.
