Symptom

  • Error is raised opening PD:

No such feature exists. Verify that a license containing the feature name PD_SHELL is available or generate and deploy the license from the SAP Support Portal.

  • The SySAM server log gets the entry:

(SYBASE) Not master server, checkout attempt of 'PD_SHELL' from user@host refused

  • From the SySAM log file, a.k.a. sybase.log:

(lmgrd) License file(s): C:\Sybase\SYSAM-2_4\Licenses\SySAMLicenseServer.lic C:\Sybase\SYSAM-2_4\Licenses\myLicense.lic
