2984593 - Cannot pick Sales Order stock for Outbound Delivery in Cloud WM

An Outbound Delivery Order is created based on a Sales Order.

When attempting to create the picking warehouse task, the following error messages may occur:

• Automatic Warehouse Task (WT) Creation: "System could not determine source storage bin.".
• Manual WT Creation: "No matching items found" when searching for bins..

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

1. Create an outbound delivery based on a sales order in "Manage Sales Order" app.
2. Locate and open the delivery in "Run Outbound Deliveries" app.
3. Select the item and click "Create Tasks"
4. The error message "System could not determine source storage bin" is displayed.
5. Alternatively, click "Create Tasks Manually", then select the Source Bin drop-down list.
6. No bin or product is available for selection.

• This behavior is standard system functionality. .
• Picking sales order stock requires that sales order-specific stock be available in the warehouse.

Sales order stock must be available in the warehouse and can be created through the following methods:

• Procurement via Purchase Orders: The purchase order item must be account-assigned to a sales order, and the goods receipt must be posted into the warehouse.
• Make-to-Order (MTO) Production: If the material is produced internally, it must be manufactured specifically for the sales order and received into the warehouse.
• Stock Transfer: Customer order stock can be transferred from another storage location to a warehouse-managed storage location.
• Stock Attribute Adjustment: A stock posting change can be performed in the Warehouse Monitor app to convert existing stock into sales order stock.
