2985555 - Different Billable Hours Selected even with the Same Amount of Hours

Symptom

 When approving an employee's time recording, the "Different Billable Hours" checkbox is checked, even though the amount of billable hours recorded is the same of the actual time recording.

Environment

  • SAP Business ByDesign 

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Go to Project Management -> Approvals.
  2. From the dropdown list, select All Time Recordings.
  3. Select a time recording from an employee.
  4. You can see that the Different Billable Hours checkbox is checked.

Cause

During the time recording in the employee self-service, the Billable Hours field was changed. This causes the checkbox to be checked, even if the amount of billable hours entered is the same.

Resolution

The system works as expected.
