Symptom

The CREATE INDEX command fails with Error 693:

Error: 693, Severity: 20, State: 2
Multiple copies of logical page '12821432' from database 'mydb' (18), object 'mytable' (1979919144), index '<Unknown>' (3), partition '<Unknown>' (1740228477) reside in more than one cache. This is an internal system error. Please contact Sybase Technical Support.
