2986777 - Error occurred while communicating with recommendations engine when trying to enable personalized recommendations

Customer sets recommendationsEngineEnabled=true in PERSONALIZED RECOMMENDATIONS configuration.

After applying changes, an error displays.

Error occurred while communicating with recommendations engine. Please try again and if error persists, please contact support.'

SAP SuccessFactors Learning

1. System Administration > Configuration > System Configuration > PERSONALIZED RECOMMENDATIONS
2. Set recommendationsEngineEnabled=true > Apply Changes
3. 'Error occurred while communicating with recommendations engine. Please try again and if error persists, please contact support.' displays.
   

Personalized Recommendations is currently available through the Early Adopter program.

For Customer who are in the Early Adopter program but still gets this error. They should email sap_sf_learning_recommender_eac_registration@sap.com to solve the problem

For Customer who are not in the Early Adopter program. This is not error but expected system behavior.

If Customer wants to know about Early Adopter, they shall send mail to earlyadoption@sap.com
