2987082 - Connection hang and cannot be killed when changing the thread pool - SAP ASE

Symptom

  • Connection hangs and cannot be killed. 
    • sp_who output show (many) processes in "maintanance token"

  • This connection was assigned to a specific thread pool and re-assigned to another thread pool while active.
  • A "dbcc stacktrace" on a problem spid shows the connection in upsleepgeneric with functions csimtx_lock & csi_aes_cipher
    • The full stack is likely the following. However, stack patterns can vary and may be different
