2987780 - Duplicate fields are showing in query designer when switching languages - People Analytics Story

• When creating a Story query, one table or schema lists fields with the same name or label.
• e.g. from Position schema, there are 2 fields labelled "Position Title".  They appear to be duplicates
• When switching BizX language from Settings > Change Language, e.g. from en_UK to en_US the issue does not occur

SAP SuccessFactors People Analytics

1. Login and go to Report Center
2. Create a new Story
3. Select Schema and Table e.g. Position schema.  Check the list of Columns available
   Result: There are 2 Position Title fields

We were able to determine that this was due to language by going to Manage Data > Schema Entity > Position.  You will see that for sac there are two Position entries, one for en_UK and also for en_US.  en_UK shows 2 Position Title fields, one maps to externalName.  en_US shows only 1 Position Title.

If EC or MDF, please check the Object Definition and the Label value assigned to the field and if there are translations.

For example:

• Go to  Configure Object Definitions > Position > externalName and see it shows that it has "Position Title" as label but no translation when the language is US English.  So for en_US there are no duplicates but for en_UK there are due to the Label assignment.
