2987827 - Fixed Duration updated automatically while creating New Bill Of Operations

You are trying to create a New Bill Of Operations KLM with Resource NOP, You observe Fixed Duration updated automatically in Planning View.*KLM refers to Bill Of Operations id, NOP refers to Resource id, *XY refers to duration

1. Go to Planning and Production Master Data Work Center
2. In Common tasks, Navigate to New Bill of Operation
3. Maintain all Mandatory Fields in General Tab & Structure Tab
4. When we navigate to Planning View, you see fixed duration as XY for resource NOP although not maintained

As Resource Master NOP is configured for Scheduling Buffer as XY.The scheduling buffer is a part of planning operation scheduling. It is a fixed operation that is added to the lead time of the planning operation. It protects against fluctuations in the lead time due to unforeseen circumstances.

This is the expected behavior when resource master NOP has certain duration set for Scheduling Buffer.In order to remove duration maintained in Scheduling Buffer, Follow the below steps

1. Go to Supply Chain Design Master Data Work Center
2. Navigate to Resources View
3. Search and Select NOP
4. Select Edit
5. Navigate to Capacity and Scheduling Tab
6. Change or Remove the Duration maintained in  Scheduling Buffer
