2988716 - Restore fails while source and target raw devices are the same size SQLCode: -1009140 - SAP IQ

Symptom

Restore reports the error below and fails:
Cannot restore dbspace 'TEST' to raw partition '/dev/raw/data01.iq' because its size is smaller than the size of the original raw partition (26214392 vs. 26214400 blocks).

  • Although the raw device sizes on the source and target systems are equal.
  • The dbspaces/dbfiles were created with the SIZE clause.
  • From the error message there is a discrepancy of 8 blocks
