When trying to create a new JPB object, such as Role, Family, Competency, etc., system throws the following error: "An application error occurred. Please try again later, or notify support (with the error information of errorId=[VALUE], timestamp=[VALUE], and the version information from the current screen) if the issue keeps occurring."

Reproducing the Issue
- Go to “Manage Job Profile Content”;
- Select “Set up Families and Roles”, for example;
- Click on “Role”;
- Click on “Create Role”;
- Type a name and select a Family;
- Hit the “Create Role” button and see the error pop-up.
Getting this error message when trying to create new Job Profile Builder objects might be related to a sequence issue (please note that this can only be assured by Product Support).
Which is caused by manual inserting GUID/external code values when creating new objects, such as Roles, Competencies, Families, etc.
For JPB data import, GUID/external code values shall not be provided in case of inserting new records (system will take care of generating these values).
The GUID/External code values will have to be provided in case of updating existing data, only.
Therefore, in order to confirm that this is the reason why new objects can not be created in your system, and fix the issue, please reach out to Product Support.
