2991552 - Error: "Your entry is too long. Do not enter more than 1 character(s)" when executing Query

Symptom

During Business Activities you execute a SADL Query in the UI but it throws the following error:

"Your entry is too long. Do not enter more than 1 character(s)"

Environment

SAP Business ByDesign
SAP Cloud for Customer
SAP Cloud Applications Studio

Cause

One of the parameters in your SADL Query is of datatype Boolean such as an Indicator. The parameter is being passed a value that is greater than a single character.

Resolution

For Boolean datatypes, you can only provide X to represent "True" and a blank value will represent "False".
