Symptom

  • The screen or desktop resolution of the user is above the minimum requrement 1366x766

Environment

SAP People Analytics Report Story

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Login and go to Report Center
  2. Click New > Story
  3. The following message is displayed and the Story window within the browser switches to Full Screen mode:
"Full Screen mode toggled as we detected you are using a low resolution. More information about our minimum resolution requirements can be found at help.sap.com."

Cause

The size of the window or the SAC iFrame within the browser is less than the miminum requirement.

Resolution

The minimum requirement refers to page resolution, that is the size of the window/page within the browser, and not the desktop/monitor screen resolution that you set in Display Settings of your local computer.   So this does not mean that your screen has low resolution, just that the SAC iframe is less than that size. We understand that you have no way of knowing that but since does not affect the functionality, the user can still proceed with Story Creation and they can always opt to resize or toggle back to original size to show Report Center and BizX headers.

So if the size of the Report Story frame within the browser is less than 1366x766, Full Screen mode is always launched.
