Symptom
- With the 2H 2020 release, the new setting "Choose a user to replace a calibration session's only facilitator who has been inactive" is available and can be used to choose an active user to replace a calibration session's only facilitator who has been inactive when purging the inactive user.
- If on a user purge, you receive the below error message on the Purge Report, follow this KBA resolution;
- Cause invalid facilitator was set in global setting page
Image/data in this KBA is from SAP internal systems, sample data, or demo systems. Any resemblance to real data is purely coincidental.

Resolution
-
Go to Admin Center -> Manage Calibration Settings;
-
Go to Global Settings tab;
- On the field highlighted on below screenshot, enter an active user (or multiple users) to act as a backup facilitator when purging a session facilitator;
- Users entered on field Choose a user to replace a calibration session's only facilitator who has been inactive
- Need to be an active user on the system;
- If no user or invalid user is provided, inactive user purge will fail with error message below on the reports:
- Cause invalid facilitator was set in global setting page;
Below an example how the process will work:
- In our example, a facilitator creates a Calibration session called “Test Calibration session to purge”:
2. Set the facilitator to Inactive in the system;
3. Create a purge request in Data Retention Management, and launch and approve the request;
4. The purge is successfully completed (if settings above were done).
Result:
The users entered as replacement facilitators in Manage Calibration Settings are now Facilitators of the purged user's session:
