2992589 - You Don't Know Why The Leave Request Is Processed Without Approval

You observed that the leave request is processed without approval and without manager review.

SAP Business ByDesign

1. Go to Home work center
2. Click on Self-Service Overview view
3. Click on New Leave Request
4. Enter the required information
5. Click on Finish
6. Click on Track My Leave Request

A possible cause why the leave request didn't go into approval is that the question Would you like to send an explicit approval task for a leave request to the manager? is not scoped.

You need to scope it as follows:

1. Go to Business Configuration work center
2. Click on Implementation Projects view
3. Select implementation project
4. Click on Edit Project
5. Click on Next until 4 Questions
6. Expand Human Resources
7. Expand Time and Labour Management
8. Select Approval
9. In Group Types of Leave Request Approval, scope the question Would you like to send an explicit approval task for a leave request to the manager?.
