2993263 - Big Data Services Launchpad links to Hadoop UI are unavailable - SAP Cloud Platform BDS

Symptom

Launchpad UI links are grayed out on the Big Data services portal web page, https://portal.altiscale.com/client/launchpad  but accessing the Hadoop UI's works if you go directly to the links below:

  • Workflow Scheduler: http://oozie-<yourcluster>.s3s.altiscale.com:11000
  • Job Interface: http://rm-<yourcluster>.s3s.altiscale.com:8088
  • Job History: http://rm-<yourcluster>.s3s.altiscale.com:19888
  • File Browser: http://nn-<yourcluster>.s3s.altiscale.com:50070

Opening the developer tools in Chrome will show that you have an SSL_PROTOCOL_ERROR.
