2993800 - The System throws an exception or does not reflects latest changes when editing a Communication Arrangement


While editing a communication arrangement which has been created for a communication scenario (.csd) within an add-on from the Cloud Applications Studio, you notice that the latest changes done to the .csd are not reflected into the user interface or a dump / unhandled exception happens.

Reproducing the Issue

  • In Cloud for Customer:
  1. Go to Administration work center.
  2. Open General Settings view.
  3. Click on Communication Arrangements.
  4. Edit the affected artifact.
  • In Business ByDesign:
  1. Go to Application and User Management work center.
  2. Click on Communication Arrangements.
  3. Edit the affected artifact.


This problem happens if a service is removed or added from a communication scenario definition (.csd) and the same is not updated in the communication arrangement.


Whenever a service is added or removed from the .csd file after the communication arrangement is created, the communication arrangement must be deleted and re-created to get the latest changes.
