2994267 - HANA DB partitioning is failing because of Out-of-memory error

Symptom

  • The partitioning is failing because of lack of memory and is caused by large tables.
  • Any table with large number of records like ACDOCA can be the cause.
  • The top allocator shown in HANA indexserver trace is Pool/ColumnStore/Main/Uncompressed:
    Top "M_HEAP_MEMORY" allocators (component, name, size). Ordered descending by exclusive_size_in_use.
