2994435 - Start Date and End Date for Withholding Tax Classification are Disabled

Within the supplier account master data, you noticed that the Withholding Tax Details entry currently does not have a validity period, as the columns disabled.

SAP Business ByDesign.

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Go to Payables work center.
  2. Go to Supplier Accounts view.
  3. Open the master data for a given supplier.
  4. Go to Financial Data tab and then Tax Data.

In the Withholding tax section, you notice that the Start Date and End Date columns are disabled.

These fields are grayed out as they are relevant only for country/region Israel. As these columns are part of the list in the screen, they are not hidden but shown to other country/regions as read-only.

The time-dependency feature for other country/regions would incur in changes to the tax logic to consider a validity period, hence this would be a new development request. If you wish to address this feature you may raise a request for modifying the current system definition by submitting this suggestion in details via our Influence Forum.
