Symptom

Error: BENEFITS_INSURANCE_PLAN_IS_REQUIRED when adding "enrollment for" under toCoverageOptions of Eligible Enrollee Options

Environment

SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central - Global Benefits

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Login to instance
  2. Go to Benefit Admin Overview
  3. Search Eligible Enrollee Option
  4. Take action > Make Correction
  5. Under toCoverageOptions  > add enrollment for
  6. Error: BENEFITS_INSURANCE_PLAN_IS_REQUIRED

Resolution

  • This is an incorrect way of adding coverage options
  • Coverage should be added from Insurance plan only
    • Go to Benefit Admin overview
    • Search Insurance Plan
    • Take action  > Make correction
    • Under Coverage option
    • Select Enrollment for
    • Now click "details" and add Coverage Details - Coverage and Rate Chart > done
    • Save changes
