What happened?

The metadata for database connection "R/3*PROXY_ST_ADD" could not be found due to error 99 in the Database Shared Library (DBSL).

• A service connection is used to connect to the Database from the ABAP AS. The standard connection is used for either reading or writing to a table whereas the service connection is used for read/write operations not performed by the first connection. As per above example with the SPROXXSL and SPROXXSLV tables -  2505606 - Use 2nd DB connection for SPROXXSL and SPROXXSLV.
