2995991 - How is the expected order value calculated at Sales Quotation - Item Overview

Symptom

At Sales Quotation - Item Overview you can see there is a value for the field Expect.Ord.Val.

You want to know where is the expected order value pulled from.

Reproducing the Issue

The field Expect.Ord.Val. has a value for the item at Sales Quotation - Item Overview screen:

Cause

The expected order value is calculated based on the Probability fields from:

  1. Customer master data - Sales Area Details, field Order Probability in Percentage.
  2. Sales Order Type - Sales Document Type QT - Probability.

Resolution

Let's assume that:

If probability is 100% in the customer master data record and 70% for the sales document type and, the system multiplies the two values. In this case, the system takes 70% of 100% and proposes 70% for the item.

In this example:

  1. The probability is 100% in the customer master data record:

  1. The probability is 70% for the sales document type QT (Quotation):

Note: This configuration is not available to be configured by end-users. It is also not possible to change this value through configuration step 102495 - Configure Sales Document Types. If a change is required here, an case has to be raised to "XX-S4C-SRV-CON" component (Expert configuration). Hence kindly contact your Product Expert / Customer Success Manager who will help to coordinate your request to create the WSR.

The value for the field Expect.Ord.Val. will be as follows:

Probability of Customer Master record = 100%

Probability of Sales Document Type QT = 70%

Multiply the two values = 100% x 70% = 70%

Expect.Ord.Val. = 17,55 (Net Value) x 70% = 12,29
