2996702 - Select Model functionality is different between object types Chart and Table in SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC)

The following behavioroccurs in SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC):

• Select Model dialog screen is different between object types Chart and Table when creating a Canvas Page

• SAP Analytics Cloud (Enterprise) 2020.21.8 

1. Logon to Tenant
2. Click on Create a Story
3. Click on Add a Canvas Page
4. Click on Chart - Select Model Screen is of type A (Select Dataset or Model, exploring My Files)
5. Click on Table - Select Mode Screen is of type B (Select Model - Existing Model or No Model, and combobox to choose between existing models)
6. Clicking on Select Other Model displays the Select Model Screen of type A as for Chart 

The behavior is by design because a Table can be built with no data, whereas the Chart requires an underlying Model or Dataset:

• The Table has an extra screen that allows choosing between Existing Model and No Model.
• Clicking on Other Model will display the Select Model or Dataset Dialog Screen as the one displayed by default for the Chart 

• Clicking on Other Model will display the Select Model or Dataset Dialog Screen as the one displayed by default for the Chart
