2998309 - Receiver Communication channel raises error "host is null" when trying to connect to target endpoint

Symptom

You have created a Receiver Communication Channel (Soap, Rest, ...) and when trying to process a message and connect to the configured target endpoint, the following exception is being raised:

Catching java.lang.IllegalArgumentException: host is null
at com.sap.httpclient.HostConfiguration.setHost(HostConfiguration.java:227)
at com.sap.httpclient.HostConfiguration.<init>(HostConfiguration.java:80)
