2998426 - Delete an Allocation Cycle in APP Manage Allocations, met error MANAGE_ALLOC/005.

When deleting an Allocation Cycle, met error MANAGE_ALLOC/005:
"Postings exist for cycle 'xxxx', starting date 'xxxxxxxx' ".

Use APP Manage Allocations and choose an Allocation Cycle and click Button 'Delete'.

This is a feature of Allocation Cycles and it's not a bug that we cannot delete the cycle if there exists real postings generated by the cycle.
This is the way allocation is architected.

The best way is to manage validity periods of the cycle.
Kindly change Valid To value of the cycle and create a new cycle with same ID and name with valid from starting after obsolete cycle.
This is standard way how allocations are handled.

Or consider to reverse all previous postings to the cycle and delete it.
