2998769 - How to check changes in report assignments

You notice that the assignment of some reports was changed. For example, reports that were assigned are now unassigned or hidden. You would like to know when and by whom these changes were made.

SAP Cloud for Customer

1. Go to the work center Business Analytics.
2. Select the view Design Reports.
3. Search for the affected report(s).

The assignment status is not Assigned anymore, but Unassigned or Hidden.

Reports can be unassigned / hidden due to the following:

1. A key user has manually changed the assignment of one or several reports to either Unassigned or Hidden.
2. A key user has run the Unassign All report, which will unassign all reports from all work center views and business roles. This will change the assignment status to Unassigned (not Hidden).

If the changes were done manually, you can check the logs via the following steps:

1. Go to the work center Administrator > General Settings.
2. Scroll to the Adaptation Changes section, and click Layout Change History.
3. Run the query All UI Changes.
4. Filter for the type AddRemoveAssignedObject.
5. You will now see a list of all report assignment changes. To see more details, click on the File Path.
6. Hover over the Value. You will see the report ID here. Additionally, if the report was set to hidden, you should see the text: hideInReportList= "True" in the value of the file path.

Please note: It is possible to delete change transactions here, but it is strongly recommended not to use this option to revert assignment changes. Please be aware that deleting change transactions indiscriminately may cause inconsistencies in the system. We recommend to only use the Delete option if advised to do so by SAP Support in order to solve an issue.

Currently, no more logs are available on the report assignment changes, neither from the frontend nor from the backend of the system. It is not possible to search for a specific report ID.
