2998926 - Material description is not updated in the purchase contract.

Purchase contracts have been created. Then we change the material description in the material master data. The short text of purchase contract will not be updated.

SAP S/4HANA Cloud

1. Open Fiori App Change Material and change material description.
2. Open Fiori App Display Contract and check short text.

The table MAKT will be updated when changing the description of materials in Fiori App Change Material. The purchase contract has been created before changing the description, so the short text of purchase contract has been saved in table EKPO. Even though the description has been changed, it only updates the table MAKT, table EKPO is not updated.

The short text of purchase contract is retrieved from MAKT when the material is added for the first time. It is retrieved from EKPO after saving the purchase contract. This is system standard behavior.

After changing the material description, if we create a new purchase contract or re-add this material line to the current purchase contract, the changed description will be brought out. In addition, We can manually modify the short text by clicking the "Change" button on the purchase contract.
