2999897 - Inbound Integration: Value 0 becomes NULL - data type: double

Symptom

You would like to fill custom double (data type: double) fields with 0 value by using as inbound integration.

When you Upload Sample CSV, the field value 0 in the CSV file becomes NULL in the preview of "Field Mapping View". At the same time the "File Import Test View" shows 0 instead of NULL.

When you run Preview Records in the integration center the system will not update the field in the system.

Importing the same CSV file via SFTP is working without any problem!

Environment

  • SAP SuccessFactors HCM Suite
  • Integration Center

Reproducing the Issue

Create an inbound integration in Integration Center.

Upload a test CSV file which contains 0 values

Map the 0 value to a custom Double field

Resolution

The NULL value is shown only in Preview mode and causing issue when you Upload Sample CSV and then Run Preview Records in the integration center.

The preview function in the Integration Center is not working properly, but the real import is working. Import the same CSV file via SFTP.

If you have the same issue, try also the following things:

  • If you have business rules involved (this might impact), try to disable temporarily.
  • Try to ignore the results in preview and use Run Now to see the same issue persists.

If above suggestions still does not resolve the issue, open one incident to component LOD-SF-INT-INC with IC logs + CSV file used + support access
