3000087 - Custom Filters in Directory Search's Advanced Search Do Not Autocomplete

Symptom

When using a custom filter in Directory Search's Advanced Search, the values do not autocomplete when searching. Instead, you need to scroll through the list until you find the value you want to use.

Environment

SAP SuccessFactors Employee Profile

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Go to Directory Search.
  2. Click Advanced Search.
  3. Select a custom filter.
  4. Try to search for a value. Notice that it does not autocomplete.
  5. Try to scroll through the list. Notice that the actual value is there.

Resolution

The engineering team confirmed that this is expected behavior. Directory Search currently does not support autocomplete on custom filters. If this feature is important, please consider submitting an enhancement request per 2090228 - How to Submit Ideas for SAP SuccessFactors Products.
