3000443 - How to create a link to an email address in a text component in Career Site Builder - Recruiting Marketing

Symptom

CSB offers the option to add a link within a text component so the link appears as such on the published page and will be clickable.
This KBA highlights hot to use this feature to insert a link to an email address.

Environment

  • SAP SuccessFactors Recruiting Marketing
  • Career Site Builder

Resolution

The feature is the Link Editor and can be found in the formatting options of the text component.

Possible uses:
This feature can be used to create a link to a different page of the site but also to insert an external link to a third party site.
This External Link option can also be used to setup a link to an email address that will open an Email manager such as Outlook when clicked.
For example : contact@yourcompany.com.

How to use the feature: 

  1. Select External as a Link Type
  2. Text you enter in the Title field displays when a user hovers their mouse over the Link. 
  3. Text entered in the Text field is what displays as the Link the UI.
  4. Source is where you will populate the link. Here make sure you enter mailto:contact@yourcompany.com 
  5. When clicked, the link will open the email client and a new email to this address.
