Symptom

  • For HADR system unplanned failover occurred, but no issues with primary ASE.
  • ASE log reports:

    server  ** HADR operation: sap_failover Site1, Site2, 600, unplanned
    server  ** Message: is starting

  • FM log reports:

    ERROR in function SQLConnectWithRetry (1547) (SQLConnectWithRetry failed): (30012) [08001] [SAP][ASE ODBC Driver]Client unable to establish a connection
    SQLGetDiagRec 0
    SQLGetDiagRec: 61 [SAP][ASE ODBC Driver]Client unable to establish a connection
