3001042 - KE396 when changing a UoM in VA01

Symptom

While processing a Sales order in transaction VA01, there ia a change made to the Unit of measure (UoM) in which the material is sold (VBAP-VRKME), for example from KG to PC. Finally, 'Enter' is pressed, and the error message “KE396 Inconsistency between a document field and the prof. segment number" is displayed.
