3001543 - Creating Advanced Reports in Onboarding 1.0 for Reporting Current Candidate Status

Symptom

  • Create a report to show candidates in a particular status, ex: Orientation Step.
  • Reporting on candidates with start date prior to the current year that did not completed Onboarding.
  • Can a report be created to show candidates assigned to a hiring manager?

Resolution

  • There are many reasons why you would need to use Advanced Reports in Onboarding to report on information collected via the Onboarding process.
  • The advantage of using Advanced Reports is the report is completely customizable and many reporting criteria can be combined.
  • Here are some of the basic criteria commonly used:

Creating a report to show candidates under an specific step or status in Onboarding.

  1. Go to On/Offboarding Dashboard
  2. Click on Reports
  3. Select Advanced Reports
  4. Click on Create
  5. In the Report Parameters (Step 1) choose the following and select next when complete

              a. Enter a Report name 
              b. Mark the report as Public or Private
              c. Check if the report is based on a existing template

      6. In Step 2, use the 3 dotted button and the Add Field button in this step to select the fields to report on, then click Next. (example fields: candidate name, start date, hiring manager, etc.)
      7. In Step 3, set Report Filters such as Process, Date Type, Date range and fields such as CurrentStatusCode. Please note the following statuses for this field:

  • UNCOMPLETED_SECTION1 is code for Post Hire Verification
  • UNCOMPLETED_SECTION2 is code for New Employee Step
  • UNCOMPLETED_SECTION3 is code for Orientation Step
  • UNSIGNED  is code for Signature step
  • SIGNED is code for All documents submitted

       8. In Step 4, enter a name for the template if you choose to save the report as a template for future use.
       9. Click on Finish to complete the report. The newly created report will run immediately and will show under Advanced Reports.
