3002743 - Error "Mode of Transport Missing" in the Intrastat Declaration

Symptom

Error in the Intrastat Declaration stating - Mode of transport missing.

Environment

Reproducing the Issue

Go to the Intrastat work center
Go to the Intrastat Declarations view
Select the relevant Declaration ID and select Edit
Navigate to Items tab and select the relevant Item
Select Check button and error appears

Cause

The error mode of transport missing appears when the ship from details are not updated in the Data Derivation for Mode of Transport at the Border. Mode of transport is a one to one mapping between Ship From/Ship- to location and Partner country. Mode of transport is determined by a rule which is present in the Intrastat-> Derive mode of transport. Actually it's a derivation and master data do not support. In the referenced goods movement document / invoice document, the ship-from or ship-to location details are not updated in the Data Derivation for Mode of Transport at the Border.

Resolution

Mode of Transport: For each country of declaration, goods-flow direction, ship-to/from location and partner country, you specify the mode of transport at the border. Hence please maintain the Ship-to/Ship-from location in the Data Derivation for Mode of Transport at the Border. And add the mode of transport manually or rerun the declaration run again to pick up automatically.

Go to the Intrastat work center
Go to the Common Tasks
Select Data Derivation for Mode of Transport at the Border
Select Append
Enter Country/Region of Declaration, Goods flow direction, Ship-to/Ship-from location, Partner Country/Region and Mode of transport at the border
Save and Close
