3002959 - Calendar Quarter Characteristic in Opportunities, Quotes or Sales Orders Volume Reports

You ran the report for Opportunities, Sales Quotes, Sales Orders, and select the Characteristic: Calendar Quarter.

You expect to see the months based on your Fiscal Year configuration.

1. Go to the New Business work center.
2. Go to the Reports view.
3. Select Opportunity Volume Report (for example).
4. Select the Characteristic: Calendar Quarter. 
5. Run the Report.
6. The months are based on Calendar Year and not according to your Fiscal Year configuration.

Reports like the Opportunity, Sales Quotes, Sales Orders Volume are not based on the Fiscal Year but in Calendar Year. Also the characteristics available are related to Calendar Periods, e.g. Calendar Quarter, Month Calendar Year.

Currently, the reports that would select data based on the Fiscal Year of a corresponding date, would usually be the Accounting Reports (G/L Line Item, Journal, etc) where there is a Journal Entry posted in the respective period and the period can be used as selection parameter.

This is the current design of such reports.

If required, as a partner you can evaluate the possibilities of enhancing the required reports via extension fields, custom add-ons, to work with a different selection or even create a custom report via PDI.
