Example: Position object with Pay range field

Configuration

  • Go to reporting - Canvas
  • source: Position
  • check result:
  • Pay range: Blank or not reportable

Cause

This is as expected.

Resolution

  • Currently, MDF object Transient Field is not Reportable in Adhoc Report and Advance Reporting (Report Canvas) Reports.
  • Pay Range in Position being a transient field, will not be visible in report.
  • ECReporting does not yet support displaying the transient field values.

Example: Position object with Pay range field

Configuration

  • Go to Object Definition: Position (Position)
  • select Field: payRange
  • Transient: Yes

NOTE: onView, Calculated fields are transient fields and so no data is saved to the system. The Values will dynamically calculate each time that you visit the users Biographical Information. You will not be able to report on the value, so long as the rule is set to trigger onView.
