3003736 - DSI thread fails with ASE Error 7153 - SAP SRS

Symptom

DSI thread in SRS went down due to the ASE error 7153:

ERROR #1028 DSI EXEC(104(1) repase.mydb) - neric/dsi/dsiqmint.c(5095) Message from server: Message: 7153, State 21, Severity 16 -- 'Premature end-of-message received while reading text data from network. Host program may have stopped responding or may be sending text data containing a partial character at the end. '.
THREAD FATAL ERROR #5049 DSI EXEC(104(1) repase.mydb) - neric/dsi/dsiqmint.c(5108) The DSI thread for database 'repase.mydb' is being shutdown. DSI received data server error #7153 which is mapped to STOP_REPLICATION. See logged data server errors for more information. The data server error was caused by output command #0 mapped from input command #0 of the failed transaction.
