3004143 - How to Add a Dynamic Group on the Candidate Profile via Manage Templates - Recruiting Management

This article will explain how to add a Dynamic Group to a set of permissions via Manage Templates.

Resolution

NOTE: It is very important to keep in mind this tool is extremely powerful. Modifications made to templates can have a direct impact on candidate experience, integrations, custom integrations, etc. Change should only be made by a qualified individual that is familiar with the configuration. 

First, you need to have a Dynamic Group already created. On how to create a Dynamic Group and other information, please refer to the article 2088248 - The My Groups Feature in SuccessFactors

Go to a Dynamic Group to a set of permissions, you can follow the next steps:

  1. Admin Center > Manage Templates
  2. Recruiting Management tab > Candidate Profile
  3. Open the template
  4. Expand the "General Settings" drop-down and click on "Field Permission and Succession Model"
  5. Click on "[Number] Field Permissions defined. Click to modify."
  6. Click on "Add field permission" button
  7. A new box of permission will appear and you can define the settings:

    Description (Optional): Enter the permission description.
    Type: Write (Dynamic Groups for Candidate Profile are intended to have editable permission).
    Group Name: Select the created group.
    Countries/Regions: All.
    Source: ANY.
    Fields: You can either select "All" or "Selected" to define specific fields only.
    Background Elements: You can also add Background Elements.
  8. Click "Done"
  9. Save and publish the changes
