Symptom
Dump database is failing due the following errors frequently after upgrading ASE 16.0 SP03 PL09:

Nov 23 03:00:00 2020: Open Server Error: 16110.10.0: srv_select() was called with a bad select mask (no fds set) parameter.

Nov 23 03:00:00 2020: Backup Server: 1.28.2.93: Open Server routine bgd_chanready failed. See Backup Server error log for additional information.
Nov 23 03:00:00 2020: Backup Server Internal Error: 4.62.3.4: Multibuffering subprocesses died, archive /bkpdir/dumpxx.
Nov 23 03:00:00 2020: Backup Server: 4.128.2.1: Failed to start multibuffering subprocesses for archive device '/bkpdir/dumpxx'. Look at the Backup Server error log or standard error for more information.
