3005330 - "Error in reading the input files" Raised When Uploading Code List Mapping in C4C

Symptom

When uploading the Code List Mapping file in C4C, the activity fails with the following error: "Error in reading the input files".

Environment

SAP Cloud for Customer

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Go to Business Configuration.
  2. Click on Upload Code List.
  3. Select the Code List Mapping Group.
  4. Upload the File.
  5. Error is raised.

Cause

The system throws the error while uploading because the input file names inside the merged archive have been manually edited via MS Excel which corrupted some records. 

Resolution

In order to fix the issue, ensure that the merged files CodeList.csv and CodeMapping.csv are only edited via Notepad or Notepad ++.
