What is the expected system behavior for the export results of Directory Search?

Employees that do not have RBP Permission to certain fields from Employee Profile can still see these fields in the Directory Search Export option.

This is expected behavior.

Although employees can see the fields in the Directory Search, when exporting the results for these fields, they will bring no data - respecting the RBP Permission.

However, in case hidding fields from the Directory Search list is an important topic for your Company's needs, please feel free to submit an enhancement request, by following the instructions listed in KBA 2090228.

Users can export results of Directory Search and choose which data to export for the selected employees, including the employee data that aren't shown in search results.

With Employee Central enabled or not, you control the access to the data in exported search results with role-based permissions under User Permissions > Employee Data > Employee Profile.
