3007533 - OnChange Rules executes when Rules Context for Onboarding is No - Onboarding 2.0

Symptom

When there are onChange rules configured for fields in the jobInfo entity, it is observed that the rules are executed during load of NHDR page resulting in timeOff fields being updated during NHDR submission.

These rules are triggered even when the RulesContext for Onboarding is set to No.

Environment

SAP Successfactors Onboarding 2.0

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Set an onChange rule with the onboarding context as NO in the job information;
  2. Complete the new hire data review;
  3. Check about the rule execution log and you'll noticed that the rule was executed.

Cause

This was a known defect which has been fixed by the engineering team.

Resolution

Add onChange rule on Company field in JobInfo entity and set Onboarding Rules Context to No and the rule will no longer trigger on loading of the NHDR page.

Hence, any rule which populate values for timeOff fields on loading of NHDR page can be avoided for onboarding by setting Onboarding Rules Context to No.
