3007934 - Error "Data source name not found and no default driver specified, ec=0, rc=-1" with SAP content server 7.53

Symptom

  • You have upgraded the SAP content server from version 6.40/6.50 to 7.53
  • When testing the URL of SAP content server (http://<host>:<port>/sapcs?serverInfo) you see the following error for all repositories that were present in the previous version of the SAP content server before the upgrade, for any repository created during installation there will be no error:

    contRep="CONT_REP_NAME";contRepStatus="offline";contRepStatusDescription="SQLConnect failed: [Microsoft][ODBC Driver Manager] Data source name not found and no default driver specified, ec=0, rc=-1";

  • You have registered the ODBC Driver(s) successfully using steps from KBA 2036696 - Connection to a repository is not possible
