3008941 - SQL30108N A connection failed in an automatic client reroute environment

Symptom

Following migration to Db2 z/OS v12 you start seeing the following -30108 connection failures with dumps reported as well:

SQL message: [IBM][CLI Driver][DB2] SQL30108N A connection failed in an automatic client reroute environment. The transaction
was rolled back. Host name or IP address: "vlinks.sap.com". Service name or port number: "55395". Reason code: "1".
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

The "Reason code" reported may also be "2".
