3009144 - Form Template Code Mandatory Proforma Invoice

You get Form Template Code Mandatory error while trying to generate proforma invoice for customer return outbound delivery.

SAP Business ByDesign

1. Go to Outbound Logistics work center. 
2. Navigate to the Outbound Deliveries view. 
3. Select an Outbound Delivery of Delivery Type Return to Customer and choose the button Pro-Forma Invoice. 

You get the reported error.

Proforma Invoice document is created against an order and when you are creating a return, service order is not mandatory. This is the reason why Proforma Invoice is not supported on a return in ByDesign.

Proforma Invoice is not supported for return documents in ByDesign.
