Symptom
Advanced formula step in data actions are not working as expected.
When executed at a parent level some values may be calculated but the total value does not match the expected sum of the child members.
Environment
- SAP Analytics Cloud (Enterprise) 2020.20 and later releases
Cause
Issue occurs because one or more dimensions contain more than one hierarchy and the value expected by the end-user is from the non-default hierarchy.
Resolution
To get the expected result add the CONFIG.HIERARCHY parameter in the advanced formula and define the hierarchy or hierarchies for each dimension with more than one hierarchy:
- CONFIG.HIERARCHY=[d/DimensionName].[h/Hierarchy],[d/DimensionName].[h/Hierarchy]
