3009875 - Error: Preliminary Import not possible. More than one Work Item exist - Focused Build

Trying to perform preliminary import on work item and not able to do so after upgrade
In My Work Items, attempting to perform a preliminary import on a work item and encountering an error that prevents this:
Status was reset by system
Preliminary Import not possible. More than one Work Item exist.
Diagnosis: The preliminary import cannot be requested for this Work Item as there are also other Work Items existing for the related Work Package. As Work Packages should be a capsulated and testable unit the system only allows the preliminary import in case of a 1-1 relationship between Work Package and Work Item. This ensures a consistent system landscape.
