3010977 - Custom Currency

For country The Philippines (The Philippines is an example) the legal currency is PHP - Philippine Peso. For the need of your business activity, you create a custom currency ZPH - Custom Philippine.
When you maintain material cost the default currency that shows is PHP. You would like the custom currency ZPH to show instead.

SAP Business ByDesign

1. Go to the Inventory Valuation work center.
2. Go to the Master Data view.
3. Select the Materials subview.
4. Search for the material ID: XXX (XXX stands for the material ID).
5. Select Edit.
6. Select the Valuation tab.
7. For the Set of Books ID: XYZ, select Edit Cost (XYZ stands for the ID of the Set of Books).

In the opened popup the cost of the material can only be maintained in PHP - Philippine Peso.
The created custom currency ZPH - Custom Philippine cannot be selected.

Custom Currency is not supported.

This is the normal designed system behavior.
The custom currency functionality is not supported and it purpose is for reporting. Only the main currency as per the Set of Books can be used for the material costing.
