Symptom

Navigating from the App Cash Flow Analyzer to Display Cash Flow Items results is empty result (No data found. Try adjusting the filter settings).

Environment

  • Financial Accounting (FSCM).
  • SAP S/4HANA Finance.
  • SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition.

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Go to App Cash Flow Analyzer.
  2. Provide filters to view result.
  3. Press the settings button.
  4. From the view settings add the fields bank group or summarization term
  5. Press OK button.
  6. Save the view.
  7. Click on a cash flow item.
  8. Navigate to Display Cash Flow Items.

Cause

In the context of applications analyzing cash flow, such as a Cash Flow Analyzer, the persistence view utilized, typically identified as P_CASHFLOWCFA, does not incorporate fields like Bank Group and Summarization Term. Similarly, the foundational data view, often referred to as I_CashFlow, also excludes these fields from its definition.

Consequently, when navigating to or displaying specific cash flow items, parameters related to Bank Group and Summarization Term cannot be transmitted or displayed. This configuration ensures that the cash flow analysis remains focused on the defined core metrics while minimizing potential distractions caused by extraneous field data. This approach enhances the clarity and effectiveness of the cash flow analysis by concentrating solely on essential financial elements.

Resolution

To optimize the table view presentation, ensure that fields related to Bank Group and Summarization Term are omitted from the Cash Flows display. This streamlines the view, focusing on the most pertinent financial metrics and enhances clarity, facilitating easier analysis and decision-making processes. By concentrating on vital data elements, users can efficiently interpret cash flow information without distraction from less critical fields.
